A media student at Hurtwood House
Pre-production
- During the research and planning stage of our opening title sequence we decided that it would be a good idea to go out onto our school football pitch and attempt our first practice shoot.
-
- We only used mobile phones to record this because at the time none of us had been granted access to our schools black magic mini ursa's (camera's).
- In order to edit this practice shoot we used 'I movie' due to the fact that at the time it was the only software that we had access to in order to get a basic understanding of what our opening title sequence may look like.
Earlier in the course:
-We did research that involved us looking into real films and film openings as well as research into genre.

Software:

-Throughout the entirety of this project me and my group used multiple social media apps in order to communicate with one another. We used Snapchat, Outlook and Whatsapp.
- All of these social media apps worked well in allowing all of us to share and speak/text each-other. However, one issue that we discovered over time was that all of the conversations that we had been having on snapchat weren't saving. Meaning that we had then lost a large majority of evidence showing how much we have all been talking.
Microsoft Teams:
Out of all the social media softwares that we used over the entirety of the pre-production stage, the one that seemed to work best would be Teams. It allowed us to integrate really easily with one another as well as with our teachers. It allowed all of us to have group discussions through a video chat which was really useful over lockdown and we were able to get some really good work done.
workshops:
- Over the duration of second lockdown period. We were sent pre-recorded lessons showing us what exactly it is that we need to think about when we are actually going to be filming our opening title sequence.
